SpringOUT is Canberra’s only LGBTIQA+ pride festival, this year running from 4 – 24 November. The month-long festival sees a series of events that celebrate LGTBIQA+ life in all its diversity, in Australia’s most LGBTIQA+ friendly city – Canberra!

In celebration of this years 20th Anniversary, the festival has added a special celebration, the ’20 Years of Queer’ Masquerade Ball with Concertina Bush and a bevy of local and interstate performers.

Each year the festival is launched at the AIDS Action Council Fair Day, which showcases the best of Canberra’s LGBTIQA+ community, as well as other Festival highlights like The Australian Lesbian and Gay Archives History Conference, the Launch of Graham Willet’s book, ACTing Out; Canberra’s very Queer History, Fruit Tingles Dance Event and, of course, Bushdance.

Canberra’s biggest street party – Yes!Fest will also be make a return, marking 2-years since the marriage equality vote and seeing Lonsdale Street explode with the colour and entertainment.

SpringOUT will close the 2019 Festival by turning Glebe Park rainbow! The event will focus on Canberra’s diverse community, with a family picnic, arts and music, drag, community games and a good old suitcase rumble! Dust off those rainbow boas for a day of rainbow family fun with the marvellous host, Laydee Kinmee – the yodelling drag diva, and a whole host of local and interstate performers, a jumping castle, face painting, burlesque and makeup workshops.
