The five-piece Aussie Band, The Rubens, are in Canberra next month to headline the UC’s inaugural O-Week concert ‘Tune In’, as well as bringing the festivities of O-Week to an end.

After a successful last few years, it’s exciting to have the band back in the country’s capital. It’s expected there will be many students and fans eager to hear the hit song in 2015 ‘Hoops’, which hit number nine on the ARIA charts and was voted the number one song in Triple J’s Hottest 100 for 2015.

The band will kick off in UC’s Refectory, a popular space for Aussie bands to perform with the likes of SAFIA having performed there in the past.

Tickets are on sale now and expected to sell out as the show is the last chance for UC students to be a part of O-Week. Tickets for general admission are $76.50, general student tickets are $66.30, and for those attending UC: a discounted price of $56.10 for a limited amount of tickets.

All tickets are available to over 18s only.

The event is taking place on the 9th of February, with doors open at 8pm.

Supporting acts are yet to be announced.
