Friday lunch for some is considered a workplace ritual. Whether laptops have quietly been closed or the team is taking a little more than an hour long break, you may be tired of the same old pub schnitty or the frantic rush for a park in the city. There is a new way to spend your Friday afternoon, and it involves a very real chance of getting your entire bill wiped clean!
You may know the crew at Ambrosia Lounge for their boutique distillery roots and killer local cocktail list. Now, they are majorly stepping up their food game while introducing a high-stakes lunch gimmick that is bound to cause some glorious office drama.
The New Bites
To pair with their house-distilled spirits, Ambrosia has dropped a brand-new sharing menu that steers well clear of boring, predictable bar snacks.
We are particularly looking at the pizza cones, a fun creation featuring sopressa, sun-dried tomatoes, mozzarella, and peri-peri sauce tucked into a thin-crust pita cone.
There is also gooey baked brie smothered in apricot compote and honey, tender salt and pepper calamari, and loaded pulled pork tacos finished with fresh lime. What a nice way to graze your way through the week’s debrief.
The Friday Gamble
But the real talking point starts this Friday, 22 May. Ambrosia is launching ‘The Ambrosia Gamble’ to shake up the usual end-of-week slump.
Here is how it works: you gather your mates or colleagues, head in for Friday lunch, and order up a storm. At the end of the service, one brave soul from your table is nominated to roll a special Ambrosia die. If they manage to land on the signature Ambrosia symbol, your entire table’s bill is instantly wiped.
That means your sliders, your cocktails, and that extra round of chorizo and olives could cost you absolutely nothing. It’s a brilliant excuse to live a little dangerously on your lunch break. Win or lose, you’ll feel like you’ve won.
