This summer, there’s never been a better time to visit Old Parliament House!

Make your summer weekends last. January introduces our Check-in and Chill-out Sundays, from 1.30pm – 3.30pm every Sunday. Sip a delicious cocktail or cold beer and enjoy breezy summer music on the Café Terrace, whilst admiring one of the best views in Canberra! With a great line-up of local bands, don’t miss out…

5 Jan: Kooky Fandango, Jazz-Latin-Funk band
12 Jan: The Night Café, melodic elixir of Cuban salsa, Brazilian bossas and Argentinean tango
19 Jan: The Light Workers, beautiful timeless, easy listening and Jazz numbers, mixed in with a few pop tunes
26 Jan: The Cashews, original folky-pop. Gentle humour and references to Canberra’s landscapes are a feature

Every Sunday, from 12.30pm – 3.30pm, there will also be a free caricaturist on site. If you’ve always wanted to see yourself drawn as a cartoon, head on down – then checkout Behind the Lines 2013 to compare your drawing to some of the great political cartoons of 2013!

For school holiday fun, there’s always something for the families too. Discover the gardens and surrounds of the museum with the new and fantastic Family Action Pack! The whole family can get involved on this outdoor adventure, learning and having fun along the way.

Children and families will love the free Behind the Lines cartooning workshop. Learn tips and tricks from a professional cartoonist, plus you get to keep the cartoon. 13-17 and 20-24 January 2014. Book early to avoid disappointment.
