Canberra Centre’s Lifestyle precinct in Monaro Mall is celebrating its first birthday on Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 November. The precinct will come alive with cooking demonstrations, champagne, live entertainment and giveaways.

Throughout the year a series of lifestyle-themed events and masterclasses have taken place in Monaro Mall drawing crowds. The precinct is unique as it encapsulates local products in stores such as Pepe’s Paperie and the Pen Boutique to world-class brands like Nespresso and even more recently Muji. The community orientated space has been occupied by stores that are well thought-out to inspire passion for design, food and wine.

Cooking queen’s, Sammy and Bella – winners of My Kitchen Rules 2011 and hosts of Channel Ten’s Kitchen Rescue – will be showing off their skills in both a morning (10am) and afternoon (1pm) cooking demonstration with a focus on how to cook a luxury dinner party. A skill we all could use coming into the silly season!

Partnering with Tallangandra Hill Wines, Canberra Centre’s Pop-up Champagne Bar will pair wines to canapés prepared by Sammy and Bella. Retailers will also be offering special deals and discounts and Canberra Centre will give the first 50 guests to the precinct each day a complimentary gift bag.

The champagne pop-up will be in full swing from 12-3pm on both Saturday and Sunday for you to sip on while exploring sales. That’s not the only perk, live entertainment by an acoustic harpist and a string quartet will provide the perfect ambience for visitors throughout the weekend.

The celebrations continue into November as a major sponsor for DESIGN Canberra Festival 2018, the lifestyle precinct will be the canvas for signature exhibitions from Monday 5 to Sunday 25. Monaro Mall will showcase in the architect design tour on Wednesday 14 November and play host to the complimentary DESIGN Bar each Friday night of the festival from 5pm – 8pm.

Monaro Mall’s lifestyle precinct is located in Canberra Centre, level 1, opposite the Apple store. Further details on this weekend’s offering are below and tickets can be purchased through the Canberra Centre website: canberracentre.com.au
