Canberra based, non-for-profit organisation, Hartley Lifecare is launching their One Million Harts Campaign to raise one million dollars for the redevelopment of Hartley Court, one of the first supported independent living communities for people with disabilities.

Operating since 1962, Hartley has been providing a life-changing range of services to people with disability and their families, including supported independent living, short term (respite) accommodation, community support, transportation and operating the Hartley hydrotherapy pool.

Over the next 12 months there will be a series of fundraising events in support of the campaign and a dedicated website for donations in efforts to continue to help give people with disabilities the opportunity to live their best life.

Eric Thauvette, CEO of Hartley Lifecare says, “The positive impacts of campaigns like this are not only felt by the organisation and the people we support, but also the Canberra Community on a wider scale.”
