While their New Year’s Eve event will certainly be a highlight of the season, an ongoing event that has attracted attention over the last few weeks is the way A. Baker makes use of the vast courtyards of NewActon.

On Fridays, after-work revellers flood out into the East Courtyard to welcome the weekend with drinks from the bar from 5.00pm until 8.00pm. Between 1.00pm and 6.00pm on Sundays, the mood is decidedly relaxed, as Sunday Sippers brings a great bunch of Canberrans to relax on the lawns of the East Courtyard with deckchairs, live music and the warming sun.

These events really take advantage of the fine food and wine of A. Baker, and make the most of the landscaped gardens of the NewActon Precinct. It’s been a great year for this revitalised part of Canberra. A. Baker is ready to ring in 2014 – and they’re ready for an even bigger year ahead.
