This English pub has serviced north Canberra with warm, old fashioned service for more than three decades and to celebrate, you’re invited to The George‘s 30th birthday celebration this Sunday.
The team aren’t just celebrating a milestone birthday, they’ll also be unveiling some pretty impressive renovations; including a new outdoor area, double French doors separating the indoor and outdoor areas, brand new indoor bar, increased bathroom facilities and much more.
“We’re excited to launch our new outdoor area just in time for summer,” said Gil Miller, Publican. “We’ve installed an outdoor bar and pergola, landscaped with native plants, paved, laid down canturf and installed a 30,000 litre water tank, so we can have a more sustainable approach.”
The team have also doubled the amount of beers on tap and ramped up their pub menu.
For this special birthday event, you can enjoy live music from 12pm – 9pm, with Annie and the Armadillos, Jetson 5 and Twice Shy, complimentary canapés, drink promotions and more.
Entry is free with sing-along-tunes aplenty.
