Transport yourself to Italy, as you drink your way through Negroni Week in the capital. Made with one-part gin, one-part vermouth and one-part Campari the intense drink is served on the rocks and has made quite a name for itself around the world. Happening from 14-20 September we have the list of restaurants who are celebrating the red cocktail in all its glory or with their own special twist.

Monster Kitchen and Bar

It’s no secret Monster knows good cocktails, so of course they had no option but to celebrate Negroni Week. Serving up six speciality smoked Negronis for $18, the Nishi Ovolo Hotel has gone ‘up in smoke.’ Some to look forward to include, ‘Umeshu Negroni’: mesquite smoked blend of yuzu infused gin, Campari, Choya Kokuto umeshu and candied yuzu. And ‘Citron Negroni’: applewood smoked blend of citrus trio infused gin, Campari, Cinzano 1757 Rosso, orange bitters and dehydrated lemon. There is even the option to get yours takeaway if you feel like celebrating at home. The Ovolo Hotels have also announced that $1 from every Negroni purchased will be donated to the Help Out Hospo charity, for the Australian hospitality industry and workers in need.

With flavours and incentives like these how could you not stop by to have your taste of one, or all six during the week. Book your seat on their website.

Amici Bar

A constant celebration of all things Italian, Amici bar is the ultimate destination for cheese, meats, wines and cocktails. To celebrate Negroni Week this year they will be serving up the much-loved drink for only $12. High Jinks

As a part of Negroni Week the team at High Jinks are raising a glass to all those in the hospitality industry who have been negatively affected by COVID19 restrictions this year and will be donating $4 from each cocktail sold from their dedicated Negroni menu. See what’s instore for you here.

Negroni ‘make it at home’ Kits.

Enjoy yours at home this year with some locals who are selling Negroni kits for you to takeaway. Italian and Sons have their own barrel aged Negroni kit for two that includes ice and orange. Tipsy Bull has a Negroni cocktail pack with everything you’ll need to make the perfect Negroni, a bottle of Four Pillars Negroni Gin, Oscar 697 Vermouth and Campari. Canberra Distillery also has their own hand crafted Negroni mix available to purchase in two different sizes.
