Med, the latest venue to join Canberra’s popular hospitality destination, the Realm Precinct, is expected to open its doors on Tuesday 28 November, inviting diners to step inside a Mediterranean oasis.

The latest vision by Doma Hotels, with Canberra’s Ben Willis as culinary director, Med is located inside the Burbury Hotel in Barton.

Promising an immersive, relaxed dining experience steeped in Mediterranean charm, the menu features ‘healthy, full-flavoured and fresh’ ingredients.

“Med is a celebration of relaxed, casual, and fun dining, inspired by the vibrant Eastern Mediterranean culinary culture. Plates of bread, dips, light entrees, and mains, complemented by fresh salads and vegetables, all infused with a rich tapestry of spices and herbs you would expect from Eastern Mediterranean food,” says Willis

“However, the star of the show is our Josper Oven and Grill. This investment brings an exciting edge to Med, guaranteeing unparalleled flavours associated with the art of charcoal grilling, adding that unique smokiness and depth to our dishes, truly setting us apart.”

Not only taking you to Europe through taste, the restaurant’s ambience also evokes a paired-back, relaxed atmosphere. With a seamless blend of warm textures, neutral hues and carefully curated international artifacts including lighting and ceramics.

Med will be open for lunch, Tuesday to Friday from 12pm, and dinner, Tuesday to Saturday from 5:30pm. A private room is also available for groups of up to 16.
