Nothing says summer quite like warm nights and margaritas. So, it’s the perfect time to welcome Cointreau’s retro Kombi Van back to the capital.
Loquita knows, the only thing that goes better than you and your bestie is tacos & margaritas and just in time for Taco Tuesday – count us in! The team behind one of our favourite Mexican restaurants will be celebrating summer with the addition of Cointreau’s van for a major fiesta this Tuesday, Friday and Saturday, with a Hacienda House Party planned for Sunday 3 December and we want to ensure you don’t miss it.
Their menu will feature three of Cointreau’s famous margaritas including original, frozen passionfruit, and our hot pick (pun intended) – a spicy marg! Made up of Cointreau, jalapeno, tequila and lime juice.
If the Cointreau retro VW kombi isn’t enough of a vibe, Loquita’s outdoor Margarita Garden will have you booking pre-Christmas and after-work drinks late into the evening. Their delicious menu includes chicken wings, loaded fries, chips and guac, and tacos, which on Tuesdays are just $4 each.
Current taco flavours to pair with your marg, include battered flathead with sols rojo, mojo verde and shaved cabbage, Adobo short rib with pickled onion, chipotle mayo and a cheese tortilla, and crispy eggplant with jalapeño vegan may, mint and coriander.
“There’s no better way to kick off the festive season in the city than with a few tacos in hand, washed down with a drink that epitomises summer – the Cointreau margarita,” says Loquita’s Bar Executive, Robb Collins.
Cointreau Kombi Van will pop up at Loquita on Tuesday 28th Nov from 5pm – late and then again from Friday 1st December to Sunday 3rd December.
