Showcasing the spectacular cool climate wines and Highlands produce, the Southern Highlands Food & Wine Festival might just be the foodie day trip you didn’t know you needed.

Promising an all-new experience for lovers of food and wine, within a 2-hour drive from Canberra, the Moss Vale Showgrounds will come alive on 26 and 27 February with delicious market stalls, growers area, beer and wine tastings, food workshops and live music.

For the first time, the Festival has relocated outdoors, showing off the wide-open spaces, rolling hills and fresh air of Moss Vale. A reason why many growers are so passionate about farming in the region.

While each ticket includes a Festival tasting glass to drink your way through the region, and access to all stalls and grower areas, you might want to choose the VIP experience. Including the additions of private parking, entry to the VIP marquee and facilities, a glass of bubbles on arrival, preferential access to the Porsche in Motion activation and Porsche test drive bookings, live entertainment, a Riedell glasses gift box AND a tasting of the famed Boudreaux Chateau d’Yquem…you’ll be in food heaven.

“A new festival committee, of passionate locals, has re-imagined this important regional showcase to make it more enjoyable than ever for people to engage with our growers, winemakers, chefs, distillers and brewers. What a way to start fresh in 2022,” says Association President, Jean-Marie Simart.

Spicing up the festival, book an additional experience with Olsson’s Salt Sessions. The 40-minute session will include one of 12 industry identities, including chefs, growers and a sommelier, who will share their tips for getting the most out of the remarkable fresh produce the region is renowned for. Think Alex Prichard from Iceberg Dining Room and Bar cooking ‘mousse magic’, Mark LaBrooy from Three Blue Ducks using ‘wild flavours’, and Colin Fassnidge from Banksia Hotel ‘cooking with salt crusts’.
