Canberrans with an eye for design and style, this is your chance at our own House Rules/The Block type makeover challenge – and it’s all for a great cause.

Decorate for a Difference is calling for challengers to help get a charity house ready for auction – and be filmed as part of a social media reality show and raise an ambitious $1 million for kids in the process.

The challenge, run by Canberra charity raize the roof, will see up to four teams of pairs or individuals go head-to-head in August to decorate a three-bedroom home in Bonner.

The competition, supported by IKEA Canberra, will be broadcast live on social media as a reality show, and the Canberra community will be instrumental in the final styling choices and voting for their favourite zone.

Former Big Brother contestant and real estate guru Jason Roses will host the challenge, and high-profile Canberran personalities will judge each zone.

The call for entries kicks off on Friday 18 May, more info here.
