The Easter fun isn’t over yet, as the Great Treat Hunt Paws Party returns to Haig Park this Sunday, 27 April, from 11am to 1pm. Hosted by the City Renewal Authority, this beloved community event is back with an Easter twist just for dogs.
Held in the dog agility area at the top of Mort Street in Braddon, the Paws Party invites Canberrans and their furry companions for a fun-filled morning featuring a special Easter egg hunt for dogs. Every 30 minutes, new treat-filled eggs will be hidden for pups to sniff out and enjoy.
Capture the moment with your pup in an Easter-themed photo booth offering professional pet portraits. Adding to the fun, there’ll be live music from celebrated jazz pianist Wayne Kelly, whose impressive career includes international residencies and local performances at Canberra favourites like Tilley’s Devine Café.
Make a day of it by exploring the Haig Park Village Markets, that will be running alongside the fun. The markets offer everything from fresh produce and flowers to artisan crafts and gourmet treats for the humans to enjoy.
The Paws Party isn’t just for the dogs – it’s a social event that brings the community together, fostering new connections and contributing to the ongoing transformation of Haig Park into a vibrant, inclusive public space.
