Every sip tells a story and for International Women’s Day, QT Canberra is raising a glass to the greatest female winemakers in the Canberra wine world.

On Friday 8 March, Uncorked will see Capitol Bar & Grill’s sommelier Ashleigh Smith sit down with you and other ladies in wine to chat and tell stories amongst great food and…wine!

Joining her will be four fearless females behind Canberra Wine District’s most popular local wineries including CEO of Four Winds Vineyard, Sarah Collingwood; Owner of Intrepidus Wines, Chrissie Smith; General Manager of Collector Wines, Emma Shaw; and Founder & Director of Sapling Yard Wines, Carla Rodeghiero.

“Each of the women involved in Uncorked pour passion into every drop of their wines. I’m so excited and proud to showcase this to our guests and highlight the incredible Canberra Wine District,” says Smith.

Starting from 6pm at Capitol Bar & Grill, hear from the minds behind the wines over a three-course share-style dinner with paired wines from each of the wineries along with tasting notes.

Think scallop crudo with a sparkling Riesling from Four Winds, zucchini flowers with Sapling Yard’s ‘Fiori’ white blend, slow-roasted lamb shoulder with a Nero d’Avola from Intrepidus, and a chocolate tart with Collector Wines’ ‘Golden Mean’ late harvest Riesling.

Tickets are $129 per person, with part of the proceeds to be donated to local not-for-profit Karinya House, who help women in Canberra and the surrounding regions provide safety, shelter and a positive support network.
