Hosting a non-stop weekend of gourmet food experiences and live music, taking over the village, Thredbo Resort is getting ready to host another Taste of the Snowies festival.

From 1 to 2 March, meet local producers, sample the region’s best produce and listen to live music as you kick back and enjoy the fresh air and scenic surroundings of the Snowy Mountains.

Kicking off on Friday, start the weekend by heading to the Lounge Bar at the Thredbo Alpine Hotel from 6pm for a hands-on Canvas and Cocktails class led by local artist Brad Spalding. Paint alongside him as you enjoy a welcome cocktail and schnapps tasting from Wildbrumby Distillery and a grazing board.

Then Saturday will be your chance to explore and sample the Gourmet Market on the Village Green from 12-5pm. Hosting a number of incredible local producers, expect to see Kosciuszko Brewing, Jindabyne Brewing, Wildbrumby Distillery, Shute the Gate Wines, Nick Spencer Wines, Tilba Dairy, Curiosity Chocolate, Merimbula Oysters, Birchwood Café, Crackenback Farm, and more. Even some Canberra venues will be making an appearance, including Capital Brewing, BentSpoke Brewing and Poachers Pantry.

Happening alongside the market will also be local musicians JC & The Tree and The Inadequates, a cocktail competition with a Meet the Makers event, and a foraging and sampling introduction with The Wild Gardner.
