Continuing on an upward spiral of fancy food and fashion, Hustle&Scout and The Forage will present its largest line-up of vendors to date at their Spring Twilight edition of what has also become one of Canberra’s favourite events.

Get ready to browse the stalls (three times over) on Saturday 12 September in the search for goodies to take home as there will be 100 indoor and outdoor stalls, street food trucks and local restaurants, cafes, breweries and wineries stalls. The Forage will be hosting a ticketed cheese and beer tasting session, a first-time collaboration between Sydney’s The Cheesesmith and Canberra’s Bentspoke Brewery. Cool!

As always, there’s something new and exciting, and with over 26 brand new stallholders from around Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne and regional New South Wales you don’t want to miss out. Newbies include Birdsnest, Hana Designs, A Skulk of Foxes, Runaway Apparel, Solar Bare and Fujinella. Plus there will be never-before-stalled ranges such as childrenswear label, Little Flexi, body products by Meraki Body and The Mister Brand, a swimwear label by Solar Bare, the first fitness apparel label by Runaway Apparel and Red Corner Boxing and a boutique garment care label.

This is also the first event back in Canberra for founder Tegan, since the successful first interstate Hustle&Scout which was held in Hobart during the Dark Mofo festival in June. We asked founder Tegan McAuley what the response was to the first Hustle&Scout market in Hobart, if there would be another one there and if the other states were about to get lucky…

Luckily, the response in Hobart was much the same as it has been in Canberra – overwhelmingly positive. I had a great deal of support for the local designers in Tasmania and they are keen to see the event return. I am unsure about moving the event to other states at this stage, but it’s awesome to know I can do it now I have Hobart under my belt!

Staying true to their mission to provide people with an immersive experience unlike traditional markets, visitors can expect an entertainment program that showcases a colourful mix of local creative businesses. Kick-back in the live music lounge with local bands The Burley Griffin, Lavers and Tuchasoul, or attend a workshop by The Maker’s Collective. Enjoy roaming contemporary dance performances by Subsdance, stand back and watch live art unfold by local street artists JRB Illustration and HOUL, or get your hips shaking with interactive hula hooping demos by Hoopbeat… We can’t wait!

Excitingly, Hustle&Scout and The Forage will host this spring twilight event at the Old Bus Depot in Kingston on Saturday 12 September from 2:00pm to 7:00pm, but have announced that since the event has grown into the largest food and fashion event in Canberra a new location is planned for December! And while it’s a secret for now, it will be revealed very soon, so stay tuned…
