A chance to discover the perfect Christmas gifts and meet the talented makers behind them is coming to Exhibition Park on Saturday 23 November, 9am-4pm.

CBRmade is a new initiative of Canberra creatives Bec O’Brien and Peta Hudson. Both Bec and Peta have their own handmade businesses and have teamed up to bring Etsy Made Local to the people of Canberra. This is an opportunity to celebrate the makers and designers who make up the creative community selling on the Etsy.com.au marketplace.

CBRmade is bringing the handmade community together, more than 80 small businesses from Canberra and surrounding regions will have stalls at the Etsy Made Local community market. Find products ranging from handcrafted ceramics, unique jewellery, quality women’s clothing and sustainable homewares.

It wouldn’t a local market without food stalls. Fairy floss, vegan baked goods, vegan ice cream mini ice cream bundt cake sandwiches potato on a stick, bubble waffles and refreshing drinks will be among the market fun.

“We have so much talent in our region and we’re proud to be giving the handmakers of Canberra a platform to get their products in front of shoppers in time for Christmas,” Ms Hudson says.

“As a small handmade business owner myself, I know the sense of pride and achievement I feel when someone buys the products I’ve spent time creating. We’re really happy to be able to provide our handmade community the opportunity to thrive at this time of year.”

Look for local this Christmas.
