If you haven’t added your name to the waiting list for Diner en Blanc in Canberra, you better hop to it.

The super-secretive dining event has notified the diners on the waiting list that registration for the unique experience will begin on Wednesday 20 December.

The waiting list diners have received a link and a special code to book their place for Diner en Blanc, which is being held in the capital on Saturday 17 February 2018 at a location that is yet to be announced.

The organisers are asking those on the waiting list to choose a Group Leader and Team Leader based on a preferred departure point, with the list including Blamey Square, Canberra, Gungahlin, Kingston, Macquarie, Manuka, Phillip and the University of Canberra.

“If you want to be seated with your friends, please remember to ask them what their departure point is, as well as the name of their Table Leader prior to making your selection,” the email states.

“Once your selection has been made, it cannot be modified.  Due to place limitations and requests from other guests, there may not necessarily be enough room to register in the same group as your friends.”

Organisers warn the registration code will not guarantee you a place if you do not complete your registration during Phase 3, which begins on Wednesday 20 December.

“Places are limited and attendance is always determined on a first-come, first-served basis, so register as soon as you can!”

Participation fees are $116 per table for both you and your guest, which covers overhead costs such as transportation, venue rental, sound and lighting, permits, insurance and security.

A mandatory Diner en Blanc International membership fee will be applied to your order upon payment, which guarantees you a Phase 1 priority invitation to the next year’s event.
