Canberra is getting a new foodie destination! Launching this Friday 15 November 6pm, Coop at SOHO will see Brodburger; Peruvian street food vendor, Mr Papa, and dumpling royalty, MOMOS open in the new outdoor foodcourt.

To celebrate the occasion, the street food trucks are offering FREE dishes to the first 100 customers, each! That’s 100 free Brodburgers, 50 free Peruvian Fried Chicken and 50 mini Chancitos from Mr Papa and 100 free dumplings from MOMOS!

Headed by the brains behind Canberra’s infamous burger joint, Brodburger, in association with Art Group, Coop at Soho is a small taste of what is to come in Art Group’s exhilarating Soho precinct that is set to open as the development takes shapes. The street food trucks will operate alongside a series of family and community-based events, designed to encourage Canberra’s from all over to view Art Group’s lifestyle galleries and enhance the development precinct with vibrant family and community- based event.

Located behind Art Group’s Mulberry display gallery, on the corner of Northbourne Avenue and Morphett, the outdoor food vans will be a destination for foodies, families and home buyers alike. Alongside the three current food vans, the site will also feature special guest appearances from some of Canberra’s favourite street food vendors.

Coop at Soho will be headed up alongside Brodburger’s owners Sascha and Joelle Brodbeck.

“This is the first time we’ve been located in the Inner North. We have so many loyal customers from the North Side and we couldn’t be more excited to be bringing our van a little closer to home,” says co-owner Joelle Brodbeck.

“We’ve also got a number of really fun community-based events planned for the Coop at Soho like local markets, outdoor art exhibitions from local artists and so much more!”

“The North Side has always been synonymous with community, neighbourhood and art, so the team want to provide a platform that not only enhances that to potential residents, but activates the space for locals, the team on site and shows the rest of Canberra how fantastic this area is to live in.” Gabe Szivek, Development Manager Art Group.

“The activation will give residents of the Inner North a small taste of what is to come in our Soho Gardens site. The entire precinct has been inspired by similar locations around the world. It is important for us to strike a balance between Canberra heritage and culture,” continued Szivek

Coop at Soho will operate every Thursday – Saturday from 11:30am to 10pm and every Sunday from 11am – 5pm. Launching Friday 15th November 2019 at 5pm.
