The 16th Canberra Short Film Festival will kick off at Dendy Canberra on Friday 16th September and run over the weekend.

The festival is the place where the creativity, originality and diversity of Australian Short Filmmaking is up for show, and each year it attracts filmmaking enthusiasts from around the country.

This year’s competition comprises of four categories, National Schools, Grass-Roots, Emerging and Practicing, with the finalists in each category screened at a different session. As well as getting the chance to see the next big filmmakers in action, audience members will also have the chance to vote for their favourite films.

The winning films will be awarded and shown at Finals Night on Sunday 18th September, followed by a screening of ‘Professor Filutek’, the latest masterpiece from the creator of Blinky Bill, Yoram Gross.
