Canberra gyms are throwing open the doors for a massive fundraising challenge – could you run, walk or dance on a treadmill for 24 hours?

If so, you can help raise money for suicide prevention, with to the Anytime Fitness Tread Together fundraiser.

Fourteen gyms in the ACT – and more than 270 across the nation – will kick off the fundraising event on Friday 25 May at 3pm.

Members and non-members can pre-register to be sponsored to run, walk or even dance on a treadmill for as little as 15 minutes all the way up to a full 24 hours.

And you may even get the chance to run beside ex-NRL star Dan Conn, who’ll be participating on the day.

The overall aim of the event is to raise $500,000 in much-needed funds for Suicide Prevention Australia and the National Suicide Prevention Research Fund.

Registration and a link of all participating clubs can be found here.
