Uniting the slickest southeast Asian cuisine with seriously cool Riesling, Braddon favourites Zaab and Rizla are hosting your next dinner party.

Teaming up for two nights only on Thursday 19 August and 2nd September at Zaab, this is the ultimate way to experience the best of Lonsdale Street’s most exciting and delicious food. 

“It’s been a long time coming,” says Andy Day of Rizla. “We’ve been chatting about it since our ‘down-time’ of the COVID shutdown last year, so it’s well overdue. For us it’s a great chance to show off one of our core beliefs; that Riesling goes with any cuisine.”

“And for us it’s a great way to show off our new menu,” adds Becky Khanthavongsa from Zaab. “We have a lot of love for Rizla and I don’t think a night went by during the takeaway days that Rizla weren’t down here or we weren’t up there grabbing staff meals!”

“It’s a chance for us to get together, have fun, and put on a really great time for our loyal fans.” Adds Andy.

To beat the cold chills, guests will be treated to Zaab’s classic dishes alongside some new boundary pushing creations from the restaurant’s new chef. And don’t worry, there will also be some mash-up dishes from the Rizla kitchen, done with a proper Zaab twist.

Meanwhile Andy has the drinks sorted, pouring some of the best of the Canberra region’s new vintage Riesling, alongside alternative styles and some of the decade-of-the-century 2019 German Rieslings.
