It’s almost that time again, the annual Canberra Craft Beer & Cider Festival will be back next month for its 15th year. On Saturday 19 March, cold brew enthusiasts will once again be able to sample up to 250 craft beers and ciders from Canberra and around Australia.

This year, the event will be hosted at an expanded venue on the grounds of the Mercure Canberra and the adjoining lawns of Batman and Gooreen Streets in Braddon. Splitting the event into two ticketed sessions, from 11am to 2pm and 3pm to 6pm, see the space vibrantly come alive with over 50 breweries and a wide range of local food and entertainment.

Canberra’s rapidly emerging brewing scene will be reflected in the presence of BentSpoke Brewing Co, Capital Brewing Co, 3 Sons Cider and others. While interstate exhibitors include many of Australia’s renowned breweries such as Sydney Brewery, Stone Dog Meadery, Mountain Culture, Mountain Goat Beer, Lord Nelson Brewery and 4 Pines Brewing. Specialist cideries such as 3 Sons cider, Franks Cider and Small Acres Cyder will also be available to try. All for just $2 per 100ml tasting.

Providing the perfect beer and street food combo, choose from a range of food vendors such as Bare Bones BBQ, Jacko’s Pizza, Gozlemes, and speciality trucks offering burgers, fish & chips and gelato.

For entertainment, the very popular woodchopping competition will be running for those who want to test their axe swinging strength, as well as family activities and live entertainment.

Once again, the Festival is helping raise funds for Rise Above Capital Region Cancer Relief. Pre-purchased tickets for the event are $20, or $30 on the day through Moshtix, children can enter for free.
