Recap: Calling All Cars @ Transit Bar

Calling All Cars came and rocked Canberra last week at a sold out show at Transit Bar as part of their Dancing With a Dead Man album tour. Supported by Redcoats and Boy In a Box, the bands didn’t disappoint.

Melbourne-based band Redcoats were up first with songs from their debut EP. The four-piece warmed up the crowd with their song ‘Giant’ as well as their debut single ‘Dreamshaker’. You could hear the influences of Kyuss, Black Sabbath and Black Mountain throughout their music. Redcoats proved that they were worth the early arrival as they impressed the growing crowd.

Tempranillo is now considered to be one of the rising stars on the Australian wine scene.

In most regions of Australia, Tempranillo is still a relatively newly planted variety. The full-bodied wine has become a headliner of Mount Majura Vineyard, and the Canberra climate in particular is very similar to where the grape is traditionally grown in Spain.

It has been a huge couple of months for The Living End. The Aussie rockers released their sixth album, ‘The Ending Is Just The Beginning Repeating’ in July, and placed at an impressive number 4 in Triple J’s Hottest 100 Australian Albums of All Time with their debut self-titled record.

Now they hit the road for a string of capital city shows, including a show at ANU Bar on Wednesday 7th September.
