Why celebrate the beauty of a delicious cocktail over one day, when you can sip, stir and cheers with your friends all month long with Australian Cocktail Month? While World Cocktail Day is on Friday 13 May, tantalise your tastebuds over the whole month with your favourite local bars as they showcase a range of exclusive beverages.

Partnering up with some of Canberra’s finest, including Bar Rochford, High Jinks, Miss Vans, Molly, Zaab and newly opened Volstead Repeal, Australian Cocktail Month is back bigger than ever, now held in over 12 cities.

By purchasing a $20 ticket via their website, guests will gain access to the exclusive range of $14 alcoholic and $10 non-alcoholic cocktails from the participating bars over the entire month.

Fuelling the contents of the cocktails, Australia Cocktail Month has also collaborated with some of the best local and international alcohol brands to champion the country’s bar industry. Some include international brands Shanky’s Whip Whisky, Ford’s Gin and Buffalo Trace, as well as a multitude of local brands including West Winds Cutlass Gin, Idle Hour Vodka and Milton Rum.

Think a bougee, modern take on the Vietnamese iced coffee made with Milton Rum from Miss Vans, a delicate take on a gimlet with Hendricks Gin from High Jinks and a non-alcoholic espresso martini from Molly.

Founded by influential industry figure Penny Sippe, Australian Cocktail Month aims to provide assistance to the hospitality industry by driving people into bars as they rebuild following the pandemic.

“I am so excited for another year of Australian Cocktail Month. Year two and we have more cities and double the bars involved. Encouraging consumers to head out and explore the bars that make our cities so vibrant whilst enjoying amazing cocktails created by some of the country’s best bartenders is our goal,” says Sippe.
