Wings of Desire in Style Arcade, Manuka has been at the forefront of worldly design in Canberra since 2005.

Alan, co-owner of the boutique, which is located just down the arcade from sister boutique Things of Desire, has announced the boutique’s closure, after five years of successful trade.

“We’ve decided to let it go is because after two to three years of fine tuning, it has taken off and it’s taking up a lot of time. We like to go overseas eight times a year; in fact I’m sitting in the Park Hyatt in Ho Chi Min City right now.”

Alan and his business partner Angela frequently travel the world, importing European labels and sourcing unique pieces from regions lesser known for fashion, bringing diversity to Canberra’s boutique circle.

Alan and his team have dressed thousands of women for major events, gala balls and weddings in Canberra, and over the years have formed a reputation for their unique product and one on one styling service.

Before shoppers find themselves in a tizz, Alan assures me that many of the labels stocked at Wings of Desire will carry on through to sister store, Things of Desire.

The upside to losing a great Canberra boutique? The sale!

“We’ve got beautiful gowns at up to 85% off, everything is going so fast.”

It all ends when June does, so get in fast.
