Canberra is gearing up for a diverse night of entertainment at the 2010 Australia Day Live concert on Monday January 25. Bob Evans, Evermore and Hayley Warner will be joining the likes of Bertie Blackman, Cassie Davis and Ian Moss on the lawns of Parliament House for this year’s concert.

Kevin Mitchell, lead singer of much loved Perth indie band Jebediah, is now an ARIA award winning singer-songwriter in his own right, performing under the name Bob Evans.

After three already critically acclaimed albums, Evans’ newest album ‘Goodnight, Bull Creek’ gives a different edge to his unique voice and gentle harmonies. At the 2010 Australia Day Live concert, Evans is sure to be a crowd pleaser.

Touring with P!NK in 2009, this past year has been a massive one for Evermore and 2010 will be no different. The three brothers are known for their hits “Its too late (Ride on)”,“Light surrounding you” and their recent track “Boys and Girls” and will be sure to have the crowd up and rocking at Australia Day Live.

Aged only 17, Hayley Warner has been shot into stardom after her appearance on Channel Ten’s Australian Idol. With her new single ‘Good Day’ released in December and debut album expected early 2010, Hayley’s power-rock styling’s will bring a performance you won’t want to miss.

“This year there is something for everyone. With such a talented diverse line up, the whole family will have a great time,” said Warren Pearson, Chief Executive Officer of National Australia Day Council.

Australia Day Live is Canberra’s biggest free outdoor concert, attracting more than 35,000 people last year. In 2010, Australia Day Live will be celebrating its seventh year, and has become an institution for all Canberrans kicking off their Australia Day celebrations.
