Meal prep during a busy week can be hard enough. Now, add on social distancing, the still empty shelves at the supermarkets and a general existential panic that makes doing anything (other than watching Netflix in bed) sometimes feel impossible.

It’s safe to say that getting everything you need to assemble healthy meals for the week ahead is a bit tough right now. And that’s where No Biggie comes in. They’re an easy way to ensure you have healthy meals all week long, without the prep work.

No Biggie meals is a hyper-local effort, inviting restaurants who have been hit hard by the recent circumstances to prepare a every changing weekly menu that even caters to a range of dietary requirements. You simply have to place your order by Sunday midnight, and they’ll be ready for pick up the following Wednesday. Past menu items have included such as Vegetarian Gnocchi, Roast Chicken Maryland and Stir-Fry Pork Fillet – my mouth is watering already!

Apart from being the easiest and most fool proof way to eat/stay healthy during this time, No Biggie is giving you the ability to support your favourite local venue. While takeaway is still a totally valid option, those restaurant prices add up quickly especially when you add the delivery fee. No Biggie meals are just $11 each with 80% of that going back to the people who prepared your meal.

So, it shouldn’t be surprising that the No Biggie movement has been met with unprecedented support. The initiative, which started in Canberra, has now grown to have a national presence following the addition of venues in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

I love that No Biggie is extending a lifeline to our beloved venues as well as creating a support network for people like you and me who are looking for a way to keep our favourite places afloat. Both one-off orders and subscription plans are available so you can try it out before you dive in.

But even more than that, I love that I can get lunch or dinner ready in under 5 minutes – just pop it in the microwave and grab the silverware. I like to use the extra time to decide what I’m going to watch on Netflix next…
