Amber orange, fiery red and warm brown coloured leaves have begun scattering the ground, the early sun shines on the morning dew and we can feel the chill of winter just around the corner. As we transition from summer to autumn, it’s time to update your wardrobe to suit the cooler months.

Autumn is my favourite season for fashion as it’s all about dressing up your basics with on trend accessories and layering stylish pieces together.

My go-to daytime look for autumn is a long sleeve shirt and a knit vest or cardigan over a pair of leather wet look tights. I like to keep my basics neutral and leave the pop of colour up to my accessories. When I am in need of a statement scarf I love to visit Witchery for bright colours and on trend prints and Sportsgirl is great for warm chunky knit designs.

A fabulous Mimco or Oroton bag can become the statement piece of your day time look and Colette, Lovisa and Diva have a wide range of jewellery in many casual styles and colours. Autumn nights tend to get windy and cool so I like to wear sleeveless dresses or pencil skirts with a cami or lightweight shirt so that I can dress it up with a fun blazer from Bardot or Zara. Country Road and David Jones have a large selection of coats for both classy and casual outings. I also like to wear bigger earrings, rings and necklaces for a bit of ‘glam’ at night. A pair of boots is the perfect shoe for the chilly weather!

I go to Wittner and Zu for on trend edgy styles and for everyday great quality styles I love Nine West and Tony Bianco.

Lastly, a black Opaque pair of stockings are an absolute staple for both your day and night-time look! Black goes with any outfit, but don’t forget to add a little colour for something different such as burgundy, dark blue and styles with shapes and prints.
