September marks BURLEY BEER MONTH at Walt & Burley! A whole month dedicated to beer you ask? Yes! And also our second favourite ‘b’ word – burgers!

Every Thursday, the lakeside gastropub will unveil a new boutique craft beer on tap, matched with one of their very own burger creations.

First up today is the refreshing Coast Ale from Capital Brewing Co. paired with a maple-infused pulled pork burger, with apple and American mustard slaw, bacon jam, pickled gherkin – all deliciously wedged in a milk bun with Walt & Burley’s home-made tomato sauce!

To launch the month-long festivities, Lawrence Kain of Capital Brewing Co. will be at Walt & Burley tonight at 6pm to tap the keg of Coast Ale and take you through its brewing process and flavour notes.

Best described as a lighter, easier-drinking beer, the Coast Ale is Capital Brewing Co.’s take on a California common ale that draws influence from its brewer’s San Diego heritage – fresh, crisp and clean with a rich malt body, fruity hop bitterness and smooth rounded finish.

The ale is reminiscent of those epic south coast adventures, surfing and exploring with good friends. Come and try a cold glass for yourself! It’s the perfect way to wash down the matched burger.
