Everyone’s favourite vegetarian restaurant Monster Kitchen & Bar is back with another edition of their Plant’d Hero Series. After a first successful event heroing mushrooms where the restaurant presented decadent flavour profiles, creative interpretations and even mushroom cocktails, we were eagerly following them on socials to see what vegetable they would work with next.

Fifty Shades of Potato will see four courses centred around spuds. Available for one night only on Wednesday 27 July, the menu will celebrate the world’s favourite carbohydrate with Executive Chef Matthew Bentley leading guests through a unique dining experience.

“At Fifty Shades of Potato we are placing the humble spud into the spotlight, showcasing a portion of the large variety of Australian homegrown spuds, techniques you can apply and the extraordinary flavour you can achieve with them. This dinner is designed to change your perception on this much-loved root vegetable, showcasing it in various textures,” says Bentley.

With the option of paired beverages, enjoy cutting-edge carb dishes such as fluffy Dutch cream potato pancakes, purple congo potato spaghetti and sweet potato mouse with chocolate.

Making potatoes sexy again, bookings are now open for Monster’s Fifty Shades of Potato.
