First Look: Why East Traders Hall Will Become a Local Favourite
If you’ve driven down Constitution Avenue lately, you’ve probably noticed a sleek new development taking shape. We managed to make our way inside for an early look at East Traders Hall and in our opinion, it’s stunning. The fit-out is polished, the staff were sharp and welcoming, and the whole space has a warm, buzzy energy that feels made for long lunches, after-work drinks and cold Canberra afternoons.
The Sneak Peek Verdict
Canberra has plenty of places to grab a bite, but East Traders Hall feels a little different. The design avoids the usual food-court feel, instead leaning into something more intimate, layered and considered.
We sat down, watched the team run through their paces, and were impressed by how seamless everything felt. It’s the kind of place where you could easily start with a morning coffee, stay for lunch, and somehow find yourself ordering a late-afternoon beer.
The Big Launch Day Lineup
To celebrate officially opening the doors, East Traders Hall is throwing a launch party this Saturday 30 May.
They’ve lined up plenty of reasons to drop in, starting with the legendary Lava Coffee team handing out free cold brews from 10am to midday. Perfect if you need a quick jolt before wandering around the lake.
Pizza, Pints, and the Chairman Group
If you’re hungry, Sliceria is offering a free soft drink with every pizza slice purchased throughout the day. Plus, the highly anticipated WORLD by Chairman Group is making its debut! They’re only taking walk-ins for the launch service, so get in early if you want to be among the first to try it.
Later in the afternoon, Lager House will keep things rolling with hourly raffles from 2pm to 6pm, alongside live music and family-friendly fun like face painting.
The Best Part? No Parking Stress
We all know the pain of circling the block, praying for a spot. Thankfully, for the launch, East Traders Hall is offering free basement parking all day Saturday. Just head down Wendouree Drive and park without the usual stress.
