Just minutes from Canberra’s city centre and airport, Pialligo Estate is entering an exciting new chapter this spring with the launch of a brand-new cellar door – a vibrant food and wine destination designed to showcase the best of the Canberra region.

The new cellar door is a cornerstone in the Estate’s revitalisation, not only will the space pour its own range of wines but also feature a rotating selection from some of Canberra’s celebrated cool-climate wineries.

Guests can expect more than just wine. The new venue will offer artisan spirits, estate-grown produce, barista-made coffee, fresh pastries, and blooms from the on-site market garden – a true taste of the region’s craftsmanship in one spot.

“Our vision is to create a space where locals and visitors alike can connect with the flavours and makers of the Canberra region,” said the team behind Pialligo Estate. “This is more than just a place to taste wine — it’s a place to gather, to learn, and to celebrate the simple pleasures of great food, drink, and company.”

Opening just in time for spring’s crisp air and vibrant colours, the cellar door will offer wine tastings, charcuterie boards, weekend live music, and community events. Visitors can choose to unwind by the fireplace in the cosy lounge, sip at high-top tasting benches, or take in the garden views — making it ideal for both laid-back afternoons and private functions.

The project is part of Pialligo Estate’s broader mission to boost Canberra’s hospitality and tourism scene by investing in premium, locally focused experiences.

“Pialligo has always been about celebrating food, wine, and produce, so creating a Cellar Door felt like the perfect fit,” said Tony Deny, Property Tycoon and Rich Lister. “It’s not just about tasting wine; it’s about creating a destination where locals and visitors can explore the best of what Canberra has to offer, all in one place.”

Following recent upgrades to support concerts, events, and a refreshed restaurant offering, the cellar door strengthens Pialligo’s role as a hub for memorable experiences in the capital.

Pialligo Estate’s cellar door will officially open in early September 2025, with a launch weekend celebration soon to be announced.
