Known for his hilarious viral videos poking fun at the habits and traits of many Australians, Jimmy Rees will return to the stage during the second half of 2023.
Following on from his hugely successful sold-out 2022 ‘Meanwhile In Australia’ tour, his new tour ‘Not That Kinda Viral’ will kickstart in August, stopping in Canberra for one hysterical show at the Royal Theatre on Saturday 9 September.
“I’m really excited to announce the Not That Kinda Viral tour. There was so much love for my first comedy tour, I was inspired to work on a new show and get silly all over again. There’s been so much new content since then that I want to get out and have some fun with,” says Rees.
Some may also know Rees from the legendary Jimmy Giggle on the award-winning ABC Kids TV series Giggle & Hoot, which he spent a decade as the face of the iconic series, airing seven days week, touring and releasing serval albums. Post Giggle & Hoot during Covid-19, Rees’s quick-witted comedy sketches across his social media channels resonated around the world with hundreds of millions of views.
Truly cementing himself as a staple Aussie comedian, Jimmy Rees is back to entertain the nation once again with a show full of laughs, relatability and fun!
Due to sell-out quickly, tickets for his Canberra show go on sale on Wednesday 10 May at 3pm. Don’t miss out, get yours via Ticketek.
