How did we get so lucky for two long weekends in June! With international travel off the cards it’s time to focus our attention on places to visit closer to home. Starting with a few accessible options while restrictions are still in place.

Sea Side

It’s been a rocky relationship between Canberra and the South Coast, but it’s time to rekindle our love with the beach. It may be winter though our summer beach days were limited by the fires so now is our chance to get down to the Bay, rug up and walk through the sand while listening to the waves crash. A welcomed escape from the last few months!

Snow Side

There’s been some fresh dustings at the snow, things are just gearing up for the season at Thredbo and Perisher. June is just around the corner and Canberrans have earned a well-deserved ski or board break! The snow offers the best of adventure and relaxation at the end of a big day for a little Après Ski by the fire.  For a more family friendly snow trip visit the conveniently located Corin Forest. From snow play to the Alpine Slide this place is affordable and a world of fun for kids!

Mountain Side

Travellers from interstate will be able to visit NSW for a holiday from 1 June. We say get down to the Blue Mountains! It’s the same distance as Sydney away from Canberra yet offers a plethora of activities, relaxation and sensational views. The Blue Mountains is home to some of the country’s most spectacular natural attractions and cute country villages to spend the weekend.
