The once pumping city is all but silent these days with the exception of the glowing red sign of Akiba. Each night their 50 strong team are absolutely buzzing as they deliver food and drink to all suburbs of Canberra, and even Goulburn!
It’s been whirlwind for the HARVAC group who operate a trio of Canberra favourite hot spots; Akiba, Kokomo’s and Sage. Like every restaurant in Canberra, recent times have proved challenging. While Kokomo’s and Sage have shut their doors for the moment, the group are determined to come out on top and Akiba is lighting the way to the end of the tunnel.
In these not so vibrant times, Akiba is bringing their electric vibes to your home. The AKIBA Electric Red by renowned local winemaker Nick O’Leary is a vino designed to get you buzzing. Pair that with an edited version of their menu suitable for delivery and a couple cans of their brand new Quaran-tinnies and you’ve got the perfect night in.
Quaran-tinnies are ready to drink cocktails made fresh in-house using Akiba’s premium spirits and mixers. Get a vodka, gin, rum, bourbon or a scotch mix, all in super playful cans. In addition, the Akiba Bottle-O brings bottle shop prices to your door.

The team also launched their hopeful Paper Crane competition. The aim is for the community to fold one thousand #AKIBAcranes . With every $50 spent on their takeaway menu, you’ll get a special piece of Akiba origami paper to fold into a crane and make a wish.
