Let’s face it – Canberra is filled with suave fellas who deserve to be shown off every now and then. A quick round of the office came up with a stack of men we’d all love to see dressed up for a night on the town.

Sure! How do we make this happen?

Fortunately for us, Project Futures is providing the perfect opportunity for lads all over Canberra to strut their stuff for a good cause. In partnership with The Salvation Army, the Stella Fella Campaign is back for 2015 after last year’s hugely successful series of events. This year, Stella Fella Friday falls on 14 August, and asks blokes everywhere to step it up for a good cause.

What’s a Stella Fella?

He’s a man of chivalry, integrity and respect. A Stella Fella raises awareness of human trafficking and modern day slavery – issues that affect 30 million people across the globe. Real men will not stand for this horrific situation, so this is a great time for you or your Stella Fella to add a name to the movement.

Can’t argue with that! What can I do?

The easiest way to get involved is to buy a Stella Fella Bow tie and wear it. By doing this you can start the conversation around human trafficking and let people know it’s an important issue. Click here to get yours now.

Am I all dressed up with nowhere to go?

Hell no! Once again The Loft Bar & Grill will be hosting a stylish event. Join other Stella Fellas to show off your kit (or simply come along to take advantage of the eye candy!).

It takes place on the eve of Stella Fella Day – Thursday 13 August and starts at 6.00pm. For $45.00 your ticket includes a drink on arrival, canapés, great tunes and guest speakers. There will also be a raffle with some great prizes to be won! Tickets are available here.

All proceeds go towards two beneficiary projects: The Salvation Army’s Trafficking and Slavery Safe House and The New Somaly Mam Fund – Voices for Change, Cambodia.

Anything else?

The old rule stands strong: The suit maketh the man. Therefore, what better excuse is there than an awesome fundraiser to get dressed up, run a comb through your hair and be a part of a great global movement?

We’ll raise a glass to that… cheers!
