As the leaves begin to change, signalling Autumn, what better way to enjoy your weekend than a relaxing trip to one of the Canberra region’s fabulous wineries. Take a long lunch, taste new wines and indulge in seasonal foods that complement the winery perfectly. Here are our top 5 wineries we love to visit this time of year.

Brindabella Hills Winery

Surrounded by beautiful rolling hills overlooking the Murrumbidgee River, Brindabella Hills Winery offers a picturesque setting to relax with a glass of wine in hand. In the perfect position to grow cool climate wines, it has led the boutique winery to produce many award-winning drops from Chardonnay, Shiraz, Riesling, Cabernet and Sauvignon Blanc-Semillon. On the menu, enjoy two courses showcasing seasonal produce by Sweet Pea Catering with an optional wine pairing, as well as charcuterie boards. While Canberra’s Autumn weather can get pretty cool, it’s worth rugging up and taking a seat outside on the deck or lawn, breathing in the crisp Autumn air, drinking plenty of wine and enjoying a delicious meal.
