Event Recap: Melvins and Helmet at ANU Bar

Last Thursday, ANU Bar hosted a double-header gig featuring a flashback from the 90’s with Helmet and Melvins – both currently touring Australia on a sort of ‘greatest hits’ tour. The night was filled with nostalgia and that classic 90s grungy-rock sound that in many ways has shaped the way music sounds today. Both acts were incredibly talented and polished, where all in attendance were completely immersed in the experience of the evening.

Masterchef’s Dan Churchill – The Healthy Cook at Thr1ve

Thr1ve will play host to Dan Churchill this Thursday as he launches his second book The Healthy Cook.

Dan is the laid-back surfer guy from Sydney’s northern beaches better known for being a contestant on the 2013 Masterchef series, he also established his own Health & Fitness Business and wrote and self published his first book titled Dude Food after his mates realised he was pretty good in the kitchen and kept asking him to print out the recipes for them to impress loved ones.

Reconnect with Old Parliament House

Celebrate the festive season at Old Parliament House!

Until Christmas, see the giant Salvation Army giving tree in Kings Hall, adorned with handmade Christmas decorations by local artists. This giant tree forms part of the annual Motorcycle Riders Association Toy Run, happening 10am this Saturday 14 December. You can witness over 800 motorbikes at the front of the building, what a sight!
