Warm up and indulge your senses during August at the 2011 Fireside Festival.
The festival is all about curling up by the crackling fire, tasting the best winter cuisine, enjoying glasses of fine red wine, discovering new places and experiences, relaxing with friends and family and immersing yourself in winter.
The month is full of great events and experiences including dinners, wine tastings, performances, special exhibitions and lots of magical moments all by the fireside at more than 20 venues across the Canberra region.
Every Friday night during the festival, enjoy a special five course degustation menu at Poachers Pantry, matched with their own Wily Trout and Fingerling wines. The dining experience offers traditional slow cooked meals with a contemporary twist.
On Saturday 6th, join Jeir Creek owner and winemaker, Rob Howell, on a journey to learn how to achieve the optimum muscat blend. Then return later in the month when the final blend will be made, bottled and labeled, and ready for you to take home and enjoy by the fire.
Make the most of truffle season at Lambert Vineyards and indulge in a lavish seven-course Black Truffle degustation dinner celebrating the locally sourced “black diamonds” and Lambert Vineyards wines paired with each course.
