Canberran designers Jon Shirley and Rohan Thomas launched the brand in 2009 after initially creating some printed shirts for a festival.

“We created the brand as a bit of fun, and it just kind of stuck,” says Shirley.

“We could see it had potential and we really enjoyed creating designs and ultimately developing the brand to where it is today.”

Guests dazzle in Vintage Glamour at the 2011 Camp Quality Supper Club

On Thursday 26th May, Canberra played host to the Camp Quality Supper Club with over 350 partygoers and 26 of the city’s top restaurants joining in the fun to raise funds for Camp Quality.

This year, the unique charity event took on a ‘vintage glamour’ theme. Guests enjoyed fabulous dinner parties for twelve in some of Canberra’s hottest restaurants, before being transported by Lexus vehicles to walk the red carpet at a glittering secret after party at the new Mint garden bar at Sage restaurant, where the laughter, fun and Chandon flowed until the early hours.

We’re always told to never judge a book by its cover. But when it comes to dining, it’s so easy to make assumptions and be drawn to the sleekest, most stylish venues.

All of this went right out the window when I went along to The Italian Kitchen at Kaleen to try their new breakfast menu.

Initially arriving at the Kaleen shops, The Italian Kitchen tends to blend in amongst the other suburban shop exteriors.
