Tucked tightly under the YHA hostel on Akuna St in the City, the Transit Bar has emerged from the rubble of the former Church bar offering a fresh and vibrant atmosphere.

Taking the better elements of the Aussie Pub and lounge bar styles Transit Bar has been described as an effective fusion of both.

A diverse range of draught and bottled beers, wines and spirits from both around Australia and the world are available. Transit Bar stocks eighteen international bottle beers ranging from Asahi (Japan) to Staropramen (Czech).

Also on offer are eight different draught beers, varied single malt, double malt and blended scotch range, quite a decent bourbon collection and a fine range of vodka’s for any connoisseur to sit and sip upon.
