Chic and Simple in Patterns and Prints

By Jemma Mrdak

This Autumn, a combination of prints and patterns is a must for those wanting to stand out and be seen!

This weeks Style Stalker, Becky, has done just that. We had to stop and chat the Becky about her outfit this weekend simply because of the way she has combined black and white to provide a very sleek look. Becky's favourite part of her outfit was her shoes, and we'd have to agree with her. The way that she has matched them with her striped top and black jeans makes for an outfit of perfection. Her sleek up-do also adds to the chic look.

Stripes are in this season - as is the mix of the classic black and white. Why not give it go, ladies ?

Tipping our Hat to Autumn

By Jemma Mrdak

The days are getting shorter and the nights are getting cooler. Time to slowly (and sadly) pull out those winter warmers. It's time for some cooler weather!

This weeks Style Stalker is the effortlessly cool and super-sleek Samar, who we found heading out for dinner over the long weekend. What drew us to Samar was the way in which she pulled together a perfectly colour-coordinated look. Her hat, was by far our favourite item, and we love that she wasn't afraid to wear it with style. The two-toned shirt makes for an excellent contrast with the all black outfit and ties the look together perfectly.

Ladies, even though it's getting colder you can still pull off a comfortable and cool outfit with a pair of well-fitted jeans and slightly oversized tee. Keep your accessories simple and you will have an outfit perfect for both weekday and weekend wear!

Style from Across the Seas

By Jemma Mrdak

What better way to spend the first weekend of Autumn then at the Old Bus Depot Markets on the newly updated and rejuvenated, Kingston Foreshore?

This weeks Style Stalker was the gorgeous and über-chic Solveig who stunned us with her nautical and casual Sunday outfit. The lovely Solveig is from France, and can't you tell, with her very French inspired outfit? Her felt hat is simply stunning, and the way she has paired it with the striped knit and slouch ankle boots makes it an outfit to die for.

Unfortunately for us, the entire outfit was purchased in France so we can't purchase the exact same items. However, there a plenty of substitutes in stores at the moment so you can easily rock the nautical trend this autumn.

Leather, Lips and Louis Vuitton

By Jemma Mrdak

The three 'L's': Leather, Lips and Louis Vuitton. Three 'L's' that when styled correctly can look perfect together. This week's Style Stalker, Bianca, seriously knows how to combine the three to perfection. Wearing a classic leather shift dress is a bold and brave move in this city, but she's pulled it off with style. The timeless and ever-so-classic Louis Vuitton bag adds a touch of designer glam to the outfit, and the nude lip allows the outfit to stand out for itself.

Bianca's weekday outfit is ideal for those that want to feel comfortable, but look super-stylish at the same time. A leather shift dress is the ultimate wardrobe staple this Autumn - it's trans-seasonal and can always be dressed up (or down!) depending on your day ahead.

Margie in Manuka

By Jemma Mrdak

At OutInCanberra we think its safe to say that there are some seriously stylish people here in our city. This summer, Canberrans haven’t been afraid to let loose and experiment with outfits; and this weeks style stalker is no exception!

We found Margie, shopping up a storm in the stylish suburb of Manuka, wearing head-to-toe 'designer' and looking simply gorgeous. What attracted us to her was her green printed skirt which she had paired perfectly with her brown, animal print bag, a white shirt and nude shoes. The combination of colours and prints is just stunning!

Margie claims that this season she’s been addicted to wearing skirts, and she especially loves this green one by Banana Republic - it's vibrant, stands out and goes perfectly with her structured, white blouse. The clashing and combination of prints and patterns is definitely a trend we have seen this season, and Margie has successfully pulled it off!
