Sage Dining Rooms has long been at the forefront of regional dining for the Canberra region. With its own acreage supplying locally produced organic herbs, vegetables and meats, diners have long benefitted from the low food miles and absolute freshness that sourcing ingredients in this manner can deliver.

Acknowledging the incredible producers that work in the region, Sage is bringing four local farmers into the restaurant for their first Canberra Collective Dinner. It’s an opportunity to experience some of the flavours of the new season, however the evening is designed to deliver so much more.

It will be a chance for you to learn about the processes, challenges and rewards of primary food production, which each of four farmers presenting their trade and process. Each of the producers will then join diners for the evening’s meal, and be there to answer any questions you might have regarding the life of a local farmer.

Wimbaliri Wines

Wimbaliri Wines is a small family owned and operated vineyard and winery at the southern edge of Murrumbateman Village, 30 minutes north of Canberra. They have a passion for producing distinctive wines all from grapes grown in their own vineyard using traditional wine making methods.

McAsh Clyde River Oysters

McAsh Oysters is jointly run by Kevin and Ewan McAsh, who took over the farm in 2004. With 22 hectares of farm under development, McAsh Oysters aims to be the premium supplier of high quality Sydney Rock Oysters on the South Coast.

Canberra Urban Honey

Canberra Urban Honey aims to re-populate Canberra with honey bees. They achieve this aim by creating and managing micro apiaries throughout Canberra using a ‘Hive Host’ system. Canberra Urban Honey finds people interested in Bees and supply their backyard with hives. They manage the hives, and the hive host gets to enjoy the bees.
