Score Some Serious Vintage at Second Life Markets in Kingston

If your wardrobe rotation is feeling a little tired, step away from the online shopping carts! There’s a much better way to get your retail fix, and it doesn’t involve waiting three weeks for a parcel that looks nothing like the photo.

Second Life Markets is returning to the Former Transport Depot in Kingston, bringing vintage, pre-loved and upcycled fashion back to the Southside.

Racks on Racks of Pre-Loved Gold

This isn’t your average backyard garage sale. The heritage-listed depot will be filled with more than 60 vintage sellers, bringing everything from Y2K pieces and sustainable clothing to unique jewellery and one-off finds.

It’s the shortcut to finding those holy-grail pieces without having to spend hours squinting at your phone on resale apps. You can feel the fabrics, check the fits, and walk away with something genuinely unique.

Tunes, Matcha, and Proper Coffee

Shopping is hard work, especially when you’re flipping through hundreds of hangers. Luckily, the atmosphere is sorted. Moto Bella Vespa will be spinning vinyl tunes throughout the day, while Teddy’s Matcha and Coffee Collective will be on hand for all your caffeine needs.

How to Play Your Cards Right

If you’re the kind of person who gets competitive about vintage leather jackets or archival streetwear, you’ll want to grab a VIP Early Bird ticket for 10.30am. It’s $15, but it gets you first look before the general crowds arrive. Otherwise, ticket prices drop throughout the day, with free entry for the final half-hour from 3.30pm.

Take your pick, bring a sturdy tote bag, and get ready to hunt.
