It might still be October, but Christmas is just around the corner, and if the annual Santa photo is part of your festive routine, it’s time to start planning.
The good news?
Bookings are now open for Santa Photography at Westfield Belconnen and Westfield Woden, with Santa arriving at both centres on Saturday 7 November, giving local families, dog owners, and Christmas enthusiasts the chance to lock in their spot early before the December rush takes over.
Alongside the classic family photo, there’ll be Sensitive Santa sessions for families looking for a calmer experience, plus dedicated Pet Photography sessions for four-legged family members. Westfield Belconnen will also offer Auslan Santa sessions.
Jacqui Waine, Scentre Group General Manager of Marketing and Community, says the annual Santa photo remains a much-loved Christmas tradition for families.
“Few Christmas traditions are as treasured as a visit to Santa,” says Waine. “Whether it’s a child meeting Santa for the very first time or families returning year after year, we’re proud to help create those special moments and memories that become part of a family’s Christmas story.”
Santa himself is also getting ready for the trip south from the north pole.
“My best red suit is ready, my boots are shining, and the sleigh is nearly packed for our journey from the North Pole,” Santa says. “I can’t wait to welcome everyone for festive fun, smiling faces and photos. Be sure to book your visit, I’m looking forward to hearing your Christmas wishes!”
Sessions will run every day through to December 24, with online bookings essential. For those hoping to tick off a bit of gift shopping while visiting, extended trading hours will kick off from Monday 14 December.
