A brand-new Australian show is coming to The Playhouse this July, and it’s far from your typical quiet night at the theatre.
Middle Raged: A Musical Meltdown is loud, honest and packed with the kind of midlife truths that only come out after a few wines.
Why It Hits Different
The show dives into the messy, hilarious and often contradictory reality of midlife.
The production team went out and gathered hundreds of stories from real women across Australia, distilling those lived experiences into a powerhouse performance. It’s a mix of a concert and a comedy set, featuring a live band and all-female cast.
Expect songs from artists including Sia, P!nk, Tim Minchin and Missy Higgins, all wrapped into a celebration of aging, changing and realising that life on the other side of the hill can look pretty spectacular.
Flying Solo?
We all know the struggle of trying to lock in a date through the group chat. By the time everyone finally agrees, the show is sold out.
Canberra Theatre Centre has made things easier with Sister Seats. If you’re heading along solo, you can book into a dedicated section and sit alongside other women doing the same.
