The wait is finally over. Canberra’s cult-favourite burger joint Grease Monkey has set up a shop in Belconnen Westfield, and they’re celebrating the only way they know how: with burgers, bevs and a whole lot of banter.
From Friday 19th September, northsiders can get their fix of Greasy’s signature burgers, Detroit-style pizzas, fried chicken and more without having to trek across town. The new store unlocks a dedicated northside delivery zone, so yes, couch burgers are officially on the cards. And because they love a big entrance, Greasy’s are giving away 500 free Greasy Burgers to the first hungry fans through the doors.
Located between the food court and the Lathlain Street carpark entrance on level 3, the Belco venue becomes the fourth member of the Grease Monkey family, joining Braddon, Gungahlin, Woden, plus the iconic food truck that’ll be popping up at Floriade from 13 September.
“This one has been a long time coming,” says Director Nick Tuckwell. “I’ve been asked a lot about when we’d open in Belco, so we’re stoked to finally bring it to life. The Belco community has really rallied behind us while we’ve been building, and we can’t wait to see people down here sharing a bevie with us.”
So whether you’re pulling up for a burger and beer with mates or getting Greasy’s delivered straight to your couch, Belco locals—you’re officially part of the family.
