Lacking some Christmas spirit? Both the Fyshwick and Niche Markets are hosting an array of events that will have your eggnog full to the brim with Christmas cheer.

Here’s what’s happening all things Jolly at the Fyshwick Fresh Food Markets.

Santa – Niche Markets – Every Saturday & Sunday

If fighting for Santa’s attention in a crowded shopping centre isn’t your thing, Santa is making his way to the Niche Markets for an exclusive Chrissy catch up before the big day. Hold your Akubra! This year he’s bringing the Australian bush to the markets so getting on your best outback dress up is highly advised. Santa will be hanging around every Sat & Sun 10am – 2pm. Bring your family and friends for a free photo with Santa and let him know if you’ve been nice this year.

Christmas Night Market – Thursday 13th December

We all love Christmas and local markets and now it’s the best of both worlds! Fyshwick Niche Markets are hosting a Christmas Night Market jam packed full of goodies sent express post from Santa to get you into the spirit of the silly season. The Night Market will feature stalls, exclusive discounts, unique gifts, a wreath making workshop, complimentary gift-wrapping station, pop up boutique bar, food, live music – and even a chance to chat with the old man himself. Happening from 5- 8pm Thursday 13th December! Entry is Free.

Children’s Christmas Cooking Class GH Nutrition – Saturday 15th December

Save your own kitchen island being stained looking like a Christmas present and bring the kiddies for some Christmas cooking at the markets. GH Nutrition is showcasing her culinary skills with a children’s cooking class to give the kids a go on the spatula. The class will involve making and decorating Christmas desserts to take home. $10 per child. Happening outside Wiffens at the Fyshwick Fresh Food Markets. Book online to secure your child’s spot.

Christmas Wreath Making Workshop – Sunday 16th December

Love all things craft? Wreath making is booming this Christmas and store-bought wreaths are looking very 2017! Urban Jungle is bringing the Christmas cheer with adult and kids wreath making classes.  The highly popular adult class has booked out but if the kids have some creative flair fret not – there are still spaces in the class on Sunday 16th December for just $20 each. Bookings can be made online.

Locally Grown Christmas Tree’s @ Wiffens

Support your local! Nothing says Christmas like the smell of fresh pine in your home during December. Homegrown is better – Locally grown Christmas trees will be available to purchase at Wiffens at the Fyshwick Fresh Food Markets. Say goodbye to that tattered old tree and make room for a beautiful real tree this Christmas for only $59.95.

Summer of Music Festival

Music is the essence of Christmas. The Markets will be holding a Summer of Music festival happening every weekend with local performers bringing the tunes to have you dancing around the market. A great way to spend the afternoon post shopping with a beer from the Plonk – p.s we hear Plonk is doing a Christmas Beer advent calendar this year. Here’s who you’ll find performing and where throughout December.
